Art House SF (2324 Market St):
This Saturday we’re opening a new exhibit at Art House SF titled "Faces of Soweto" by the amazing South African artist Tsholo "Splash" Motong.
Art opens a new channel of understanding for us, not cognitive but intuitive and sensorial.
And with Tsholo's work, we're transported to his environment, his colorful life and the people who surround him. The people of Soweto township near Johannesburg, South Africa. Their faces, their daily scenes, the local merchants, the local streets. All of that Tsholo is capturing. All of that you will get to see.
The exhibit previews during the Castro Art Walk tomorrow from 5 to 8pm, and officially opens on Saturday at 4pm. It'll be on display for 6 weeks, but you don't want to miss it.
