#5 Harvey Milk Photo Center (50 Scott St):

Bodies of Work by KatinKa Herbert.

This exhibition explores the commodification of athletic bodies. Bringing two projects into dialogue, Katinka Herbert delves into the lives of Mexican wrestlers and Cuban athletes. In doing so, her images capture the dilemma of physical performance: a tense relationship between economic necessity and the human form.  Katinka is a commercial portrait photographer based in London. Her projects explore identity, performance and extroversion. Brought up among filmmakers and circus performers, she is fascinated by characters who visibly manufacture their own identities: wrestlers, cross-dressers, movie stars and burlesque dancers. Her work is highly-constructed, immersing her subjects in a world of seduction, theatre and enigmatic humour.

#6 Flore Dispensary (258 Noe St):

Flore Dispensary will feature the work of Clint Frederic Wiater

#7 Art House SF (2324 Market St):

Art House SF would like to present the latest work from contemporary Japanese woodblock artist Hajime Namiki. While many are familiar with traditional Japanese Ukiyo-e woodblock prints, modern woodblock art is far less known.

Hajime Namiki is part of the post-war Sōsaku-hanga ("creative prints") art movement. While his subjects are traditionally Japanese, he elevates his work to the Western definition of fine art. Hajime draws, carves, and prints each piece himself—his sole creation.

Johnny was featured in San Francisco's de Young Museum exhibition "The de Young Open" in 2020, has painted murals at the Salesforce Transit Center in San Francisco, and at Facebook’s CA headquarters, and had his artwork published in the Arts and Entertainment section of the New York Times.

Sam Roloff, a third-generation San Franciscan, discovered his artistic flair early on through expressing himself in drawings and paintings. Through his unique perspective of being a dwarf, his art connects him to the world. Whether through pencil, paint, or digital media, his captivating approach defines a truly unparalleled body of work. “I learned to dance, not with my body, but with a brush.”
