The February edition of the Castro Art Walk is tomorrow with 20 art exhibits all across the amazing Castro Arts District in San Francisco. You don’t want to miss it!
The Castro Art Walk is 5 - 8, and some businesses stay even later.

#1 Chartreuse by Roje (2095 Market St):
Sebastien Pridmore is a Franco-Swiss painter and muralist, currently based in Napa Valley. His work is deeply rooted in research, exploration, and ecological awareness, as he transforms natural elements into captivating visual expressions. Over the past decade, Sebastien has honed his craft using diverse materials, including food pigments, plants, flowers, and minerals. Drawing inspiration from both contemporary themes and historical narratives, his works are infused with depth and meaning. |

Welcome Castro will feature work by Ed Terpening.
“After two decades in technology and marketing, I turned to art as a way to leave a more lasting legacy, one that could bring beauty and meaning to the world in a way that my previous careers never could. The tragic events of 9/11 and a significant health scare led me to rethink my path, seeking something more substantial. I was inspired by the expressive Latin American culture I encountered during a trip to Chile in the ’90s, where art was an integral part of daily life, not bound by intimidation or judgment. This inspired me to believe that anyone can create art, as it is more about effort and expression than innate talent. For me, painting is an emotional response to the beauty I encounter, where I constantly learn and experiment through the act of creation. I often work in different styles, driven by my changing emotional connections to subjects and a desire to explore new ideas, and I reject the notion of creating art to meet market expectations. My work is an invitation to experience a connection to a moment, a place, or an emotion, and I hope it takes you there, wherever “there” may be.” |

#19 MAG Galleries (3931 18th St):
"Abstraction and Innovation in Modern and Contemporary Mexican Art from Two Private Collections" explores a compelling range of themes. While Michael McKechnie's collection highlights innovation and abstraction, Ernesto Quintanilla’s selection delves into the complexities of human sexuality.
There are 20 artists in this exhibit, each with their own take on how to arrange space and mass. Some of their inspiration derives from Pre-Hispanic symbols, some from 20th and 21st century European concepts, but each one innovates through abstraction to make an impact on the observer. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts. |

We are thrilled to have the artist Chase Irvin come back to our gallery for the month of February with a group show curated by the artist.
Join us Friday, February 7th! at 8PM for the art opening reception! Featuring the art of Chase Irvin, Lonnie Taylor, and Dominique Birdsong
Light snacks, wine, and non alcoholic drinks will be provided! Come for the free wine, stay for the incredible queer art! The three artists featured will be Chase Irvin, Dominique Birdsong, and Lonnie Taylor.
