The January edition of the Castro Art Walk is tomorrow with 11 art exhibits all across the amazing Castro Arts District in San Francisco. You don’t want to miss it!
The Castro Art Walk is 5 - 8, and some businesses stay even later.

#1 Chartreuse by Roje (2095 Market St):
Saniya Sayyad now presents an ocean-themed assortment of acrylics titled Blue Crush, Ocean Calm, and Deep Blue Ocean, complementing her floral pieces. Hezon Hyeon has added two new floral applique works, Anemone in a Jar and Dance in the Breeze, framed in her signature handmade designs. Sun Lee debuts her hand-stitched fabric piece, I Wish You Peaceful Days. Alison Price has introduced three new textural pieces inspired by her travels: Sienne, France, La Honda Views, and Ireland. |

#3 The Academy (2166 Market St): Join us for the monthly Castro Art Walk as we continue our current exhibit featuring works by Bill Samios. This event is free and open to the public, on our club's Main Level. |

Flore Dispensary will feature the work of Nic Elisa Hampton. |

#5 Art House SF (2324 Market St):
Discover the world of Buddhist art and the tradition that still lives on in a remote Mustang Kingdom, Nepal. Max, the owner of the gallery, met Tashi after a 4-day horseback journey in Nepal 6 years ago.
In this exhibit, we feature the work by Tashi Gurung, a contemporary thangka and mandala master. Tashi was part of a small artist collective restoring ancient Buddhist monasteries (gompas) in Bhutan, Nepal, Ladakh, Tibet, and Kham. Tashi uses that rich experience and images he has seen to create his own works of art. |

Artwork by Stephen C. Wagner is included in the permanent collections of the Riverside Art Museum and the San Diego Museum of the Living Artist, and in the corporate art collections of Johnson & Johnson and Kaiser Permanente. His artwork has been featured in the film "Antwone Fisher" and the Bravo TV show "Boy Meets Boy", and has been exhibited at art galleries in London, Beverly Hills, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Laguna Beach, San Diego, Seattle, New Orleans, and Kauai. |

ART AND FASHION IN THE GARBAGE AGE works by the PILES COLLECTIVE: Liz Cahill, Joey Ehrenberg (j.ehren), Paul Reginato, Juliane Roberts-Hansen, Kelsie Jones, Edie Trautwein with Samantha Alexa and Amieliana Rivero.
Trash is everywhere, and in some parts of San Francisco it is ubiquitous. Countering the problems that generate the garbage is a momentous task, but as significant is the desire to find the detritus as an alternative source of creative possibilities.
Piles Collective is a group of artists using the abounding piles of trash on San Francisco streets as raw materials. Garbage Age Fashion and Art features a series of elegant garments and sculptures made from San Francisco street trash, interspersed with still life photos of trash. |
