Corneille was a part of the post-war Expressionist European movementin the 1950's. Inspired by African art he collected, his work is imaginative and poetic, characterized by an eccentric use of color and his placing of familiar subjects, such as cats, birds, and women, in mythological or juvenile settings.

#8 STRUT (470 Castro St):

I am Geraldo Felicio, an illustrator born in Minas Gerais and currently living in São Paulo. I have been illustrating professionally for over ten years and have a sensitive eye, attentive to the nuances and beauty of bodies.

My passion is to portray fat bodies with lightness and delicacy, bringing a bit of myself into each illustration. I hope that, when looking at my work, you can see yourselves with more affection and acceptance, discovering a deeper, more loving connection with your own bodies.

This event is from 8 to 10pm.

#14 Welcome Castro (525 Castro St):

Artist Alexander von Wolff has captured fleeting nostalgia with his art of San Francisco and other locations by recreating artistic relics of the past, giving them new life in the form of large scale printed images. From the commercial amusement of ‘Playland at the Beach’ in the 1940’s to Julie's Supper Club in the 1990’s, San Francisco’s regal leisure was once easily pocketed in matchbook form. Now this form is not just a miniature memory in a box, or a remnant left on the mantle; it is a piece of art that will allure and transport you to a time gone by.

#15 Aegean Delights (545 Castro St):

Aegean Delights will feature art by Alan Beckstead, Luke Andahazy.

#16 Queer Arts Featured (575 Castro St):

Queer Arts Feature will host “Giving Them Their Flowers” exhibit.  The exhibit features works commissioned by the Castro LGBTQ Cultural District:  "Living Lesbian Legends"  by Tanya Wischerath & "Circle of Change" by Serge Gay Jr.  This show opening will have music by DJ La Femme Papi

#18 Ruby’s Clay Studio and Gallery (552A Noe St):

Holiday SaleOur annual Holiday Sale showcases the work of 23 Ruby's studio artists with fabulous vases, bowls, trays, mugs, tumblers, planters and more. Perfect for gifting and celebrating the up coming holiday season!

As part of the Castro Art Walk, the sale opens with a reception on Friday, December 6 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The gallery welcomes visitors everyday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and the sale continues through Monday, December 23.

#19 MAG Galleries (3931 18th St):

Join us for traditional Mexican pastries and hot chocolate at ALONE, TOGETHER IN A CROWD, works by Joel Hernandez.

For Hernandez, "Each piece in the show gives a face to the strangers I’ve encountered on these journeys. The exaggerated features and bold expressions represent the emotions I’ve observed and experienced while moving through the city’s rich, multifaceted landscape. Whether locals, newcomers, or tourists, we all contribute to the collective energy of the city. By blending traditional techniques with contemporary themes, I seek to highlight the beauty and complexity of these everyday moments of togetherness and solitude."

… and more!

See all of you Friday night!
